Tax Software Information

Question: Tax software???? can i do it offline?

I was looking into buying a computer tax software to do my income taxes and I was wondering if it requires me to be online or can I do it offline. Will I be able to file electronically (with direct deposit) or will I have to mail in a paper return?

I've used Turbo Tax for years and I love it by the way. The best part about it is you can tinker with the information you provide to get the $$$ back you want :))) Every time I've gone into a tax service "professional " (yeah right) they rip me off pretty bad. I don't think you need to be online, but don't quote me on that. Look on the back of the box to see if it requires internet access. And, yes, you can file electronically with direct deposit.
