Spam Information

Question: What is the method used by yahoo to filter out spam mails?

I am a final yr student of B.Tech- IT. I am doin a project on spam filtering using the naive bayesian classification indata mining. So i would like to know the type of spam filtering used by yahoo. some one pls help.

I think they use complex algorithms that filter out mails that have certain patterns in its subject or body. Also they keep massive databases of all the email-id's that are reported for spamming and the spam domains(domains that contains large number of mail id's indulging in action of mass spamming)
