Its not a DNS problem. Set your computer and Xbox both back to "Get IP Automatically " or "use DHCP ", whatever option you have. Now, since they both work when plugged into the modem, but not when plugged into the router, it sounds like your router is not setup properly. You didn't list what type of router you have, or what type of internet connection you have, so I'm only going to give some general things you can check. If you have Cable service, make sure the router is set for DHCP also, to get its ip automatically from the modem. If you have DSL, set the router instead to use PPPoE, and input your DSL username and password into the router. After you're sure the router is set correctly, turn off all 4 devices, then turn on the modem first, then router, then computer/ Xbox. |
