Can printing publishers print jpg files?

Question: Can printing publishers print jpg files?

(Posted by: Mia S on 2010-03-03 08:01:17)

I am making a school yearbook for the school this year and I have already made several pages IN JPG FORMAT. so I wanted to know if publishers would print these yearbook pages: portrait sized, full paged, in glossy paper. And if they have a specific format for publishing. Because I tried to print a sample page by my personal home printer and the images were a little blurry and they were not full size. I mean they didn't fit the page and when I selected that option, a landscape photo printed out instead of a portrait one. Please help me some blessed soul coz I'm really stressed out. All my work will be for nothing

Your blurry photo is NOT due to .jpg - it is due to the resolution of the photo it self, A low reloution photo can not be printed at a large size. It has to due with the quality of the camera that you are using, you need to set up your photos in proper orientation before you send to print, this can be done by adjusting your settings
