When using the tools in M$ Word and similar apps that affect changes you want to make to a word or paragraph, you must ALWAYS HIGHLIGHT or SELECT the word(s).area that you want to change. After highlighting/ selecting, go to the Tool(s) at the top you need to use. In the case of the word color change, there is an Icon at the top which changes text color. This is the one you want to use. If you want to change the word(s) color BEFORE you type the word(s), select the color you want FIRST. Change the color of text: office.microsoft.com/ en-us/ word/ HP051895391033.aspx Ron
