Avg or nod32 for my pc security?


Is it worth buying nortan pc security?
I had a dinosaur of a computer, upgraded to dsl and had to update my computer also. just a cheap e machine from walmart, but it works great for all I do on one. I do use it to pay bills and check bank stuff regular. It came with 60 trial of norton pc anti virus soft ware. which is about to expire. should I spend 50.00 to keep it? does not windows have there on protection?I have windows vista

What is the best pc security software?
In the past I have been running PC Tools spyware doctor with antivirus as well as doing weeky scans with spybot. Someone told me that using these would slow down my computer as I have a fairly old system AMD Athlon XP 2200 1.79GHz 1gb ram . They recommended something called ESET smart security 4 which is an all in 1 package. Is this good enough? The other thing I could do is install Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 which I can get free from my bank but i have read that the anti spyware is not the best but i could use this in conjuction with spyware doctor but disable the antivirus. Would this work or will it slow down my computer too much. what is the best option. is kaspersky good enough on its own

I have a desktop computer connected via wired network and i have two laptops connected to the same network via wireless would running Avast Anti virus and Comodo Firewall and CCleaner be enough to keep my system safe and running well without causing it to slow down???
