My new i7 build will be complete in a week or so and I have come to the point where i must find a way to protect it.This is a build for heavy gaming and all my school work, which is a lot. All the security suites out there have a mixed bag of opinions that are for and against them.I am looking for one of those " total care" kind of things.Price is no matter here. I can pay what i need to.The things coming up often are Norton 2010Kaspersky 2010G Datanod32AVASTbitdefenderMcafeeI have never used any of these before and I don't know which is best.What do you guys suggest and please give a reason.

Hi, when i bought my laptop about 3 months, it came supplied with several weeks free mcafee, however this is about to run out in a couple of days, they kept putting pop up reminders on my screen, renew now different prices everytime, anyway i found on the argos website the, Mcafee internet security 2010, was originally 59.99, reduced to 24.99,so i bought this as it was a much cheaper price then they were offering, right sorry to waffle but i,m due to put this disc in so could anyone tell me please, the original free mcafee do i uninstall this before loading the new one, & if i do uninstall the original security do i do it via my control panel or off the desktop screen as you can tell by this info i,m not no pc expert, so advice given would be most appreciated, many Thanks.

My computer has a fake alert called pc security tool that keeps popping up and i cant remove it .?
it is blocking me from downloading other antivirus software ive done everything i know to do to get rid of this shit. the only other thing i can do is have it wiped clean and that really pisses me off. so does anybody have any suggestions? help please.

What is the best pc security software?
In the past I have been running PC Tools spyware doctor with antivirus as well as doing weeky scans with spybot. Someone told me that using these would slow down my computer as I have a fairly old system AMD Athlon XP 2200 1.79GHz 1gb ram . They recommended something called ESET smart security 4 which is an all in 1 package. Is this good enough? The other thing I could do is install Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 which I can get free from my bank but i have read that the anti spyware is not the best but i could use this in conjuction with spyware doctor but disable the antivirus. Would this work or will it slow down my computer too much. what is the best option. is kaspersky good enough on its own
