I cannot see the wireless network at my school?

Question: I cannot see the wireless network at my school?

They have Xirrus wireless routers and I have used e- wifi to see if it is a hidden SSID but it does not show up. Please Help!!! It is actually impossible to see the network. It is not just that I can't pod in to it

One word: Firewall. Firewall = router-blocking device that prevents anyone without proper identification from passing.
