I am able to find a list of wireless networks when I am using my computer. What should I do?
All of a sudden on my computer, I cant find a list on my computer of available wireless networks to connect to like it used to be able to. What should I do and how do I fix this?
Why has Windows 7 blocked all social networking sites?
My friend has just got a new internet dongle, but it wont let her on any social networking sites, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter etc. It keeps coming up with a pop up saying." You have been blocked from this social networking site, as most social networks contain adult content" ? ? ? No it doesn't We have tried changing security levels, parental control etc still keeps happening, what can we do to stop WINDOWS 7 from blocking these sites?Please helpnumber one.. I am 21 and my friend is 24 and she is the parent in her house hold and these are our laptops number two.. obviousm > yes it is a laptop and we think it is going to be in the router or dongle not sure off any other information as of yet because my friends phone has died and i can't get hold of her lol
Same network, same file, slower download?
When I download this file I've been downloading it over and over a loong time, about 36 hours to be exact the download speed is always some 60 70kb s. When I cancel the download and my dad downloads it on his computer, the speed was 200 300kb s.Since I've been downloading for such a long time and It's always had about the same speed I don't believe our network just happened to peak when my dad was downloading. i have two different homes in two completely different cultures and i decided that i didn't want contacts from country 'A' to mix with contacts from country 'B' so i created another account to keep things i wanted to stay private, private...but recently people from country 'B' have been adding me and asking questions about my other account and i'm wondering if there is anyway to block people from a certain network from View your account... THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW i already know how to block individuals but it is too hard to block over a 100 accounts individually i know that i cab prevent myself from showing up in searches but.... it's not convenient as people that are from country 'A' will also not be able to search for me on facebook sooo.. is there a way that you can block a specific network people from a school from searching viewing your facebook profile? without individually blocking 100's of accounts?thanks in Advance D
Dual wireless network setup?
Im trying to set up a secondary wireless network ontop of my first one. The overall goal to have two separate networks running at the same time. The second one needs to be controlled by a computer on its network.Like this Desktop > Router1< Internet LANLaptop > Router2 which is connected to router1, but needs to be controlled wirelessly by the laptop, while the laptop is on that connection Please note that this would be the final product, it doesnt need to be setup initially in any particular order. I just need help setting this up.I am using a linksys router model number wrt110 represented by router2 and router1 is already set up to the desktop and internet cable, and the laptop can connect to it.
Weak Network Connection on iPod Touch and Xbox Live?
Hey guys.I have been having some trouble lately with my network. This actually happens every few weeks, but usually I just switch up the Ethernet cables and it works fine. But I tried that this time countless number of times it did not fix my problem.On my laptop, my internet is fine. But on my iPod Touch and Xbox, I have a very weak signal.On my iPod Touch 2G, 16 GB, 4.0 iOS I can run websites fine, but I Facebook and YouTube will not load. Maybe those apps require more strength to run them? I don't know.On my Xbox, I have to attempt to sign in about 5 times before I actually am able to sign in. When I am finally able to sign in, though, I can only talk. Whenever I try to play Madden 11, for example, online, I disconnect from the servers immediately or just cannot connect to them. I know it's not the EA servers that are bad because my friends play online with ease and this happens with other games as well.Also, my Linksys router WRT54GS is literally 8 feet away from me, in my room, with no barriers or anything to interfere with it and my iPod Touch's signal bars in the top right corner fluctuates between 1, 2, and 3 bars.I have also upgraded my router to the latest firmware and have reset my router at least 10 times to no avail.Also, I called my ISP and they said my modem was working at full strength without any problems, so I'm pretty sure this is an issue with my router.I have also tried buying brand new Ethernet cables because I thought maybe my old ones were just worn out, but no, that didn't work either.Also, on my computer, I'm on wireless and it says my connection is " Excellent." I'll also add that my modem is a Motorola SB5101.This is an extremely annoying issue. Are there any settings I should change in my router configuration? Can someone please help me out? Thanks
Joining a College Facebook Network?
If I remove my .edu email address from my college under my account emails on facebook, will that also kick me out of the university's network? I use my gmail account to actually log in to facebook but I'm wondering what would happen if I take off that .edu email from the account.Thanks
