Micro Sd Information

Question: What is wrong with my micro sd card?

I have a 1gb micro sd card for my lg shine. It had pictures, videos, etc. When I plugged into the usb adapter, and then into my computer, I moved a certain file (in my memory card) from one file to another. I plugged it back into my phone but it's as if there is no memory card in there. Same thing with my computer, It's also as if there's nothing in the adapter it just says "Please insert a disk into drive E: " What in God's name is goin' on here?
