Are there any good, free malware/anti virus programs out there?
Are there any good, free malware anti virus sites out there and if so which ones have you used?I have avast on it now, and had a one year thing for McAfee that came with the computer,its run out now though. My computer has slowed down considerably in the past few weeks since I did a search on wholesale suppliers. Any clues why or any tips on how to get it back to par? I am a single mom with a high schooler and I take classes in the evenings after work 3 days a week so we need the computer up to par as cheap as possible.Thanks in advance for any information or tips.

Which of the 3 drives should I scan for malware?
The drives are C, D, and E. C has a Windows picture on it.D and E each has a picture of a CD.Don't know if any of that mattered. But when I first scanned I think only 1 or 2 were checked off as default. I think I wanted to scan all 3 one time so I checked off all 3 drives. Now when I open the Anti Malware all 3 drives are checked off as default. It takes too long to scan. So which ones of the 3 are necessary?

How do I get my internet setting back to normal after a anti malware doctor virus attack?
My laptop was recently attacked by the anti malware doctor virus. I think I have managed to get rid of it. However I cannot go onto the internet. The web browser keeps saying " cannot display the page" . I use google chrome. Does anyone know what I can do?

Warning sign about malware popped up on my computer?
I was surfing the web reading about airline safety, and the webpage I was viewing disappeared, and was replaced by a small window that said " warning, your computer is or it could have said " may be" infected with malware" .I dont even know what malware is...I clicked the " close" button, instead of the ok button, because I wanted to get rid of it. But then another screen popped up that looked like it was scanning my computer for infections, but it was just another webpage with my tool bar at the top. So I clicked to close THAT window too, but it had another small window after that, that asked if I was sure I wanted to close it. And if I wanted to NOT close it, I need only click " cancel" to stay on the page.Can someone please break this all down for me and tell me what I need to do?

Malware protection keeps turning off! Help!?
About 90 % of the time i turn my computer on, I get a security pop up saying my protections have turned off. I never turn these protections off, but it's always the anti virus protection and spyware malware that turn off by themselves. I turn them back on before i do anything, but it's getting really annoying now. I have BitDefender as my protection software. Thanks for all help contributed D
Malware: "Attention! Your web page request has been cancelled." whenever I use the internet?
Whenever I use the internet on my other computer, more often than not, this appears 1.bp.blogspot.com 681goxWLnCg TFVTZQdAE7I AAAAAAAAAl0 qDdzBEgPt9Y fake web page alert.jpgAfter doing research, it seems the verdict is that this is caused by malware called Antivirus 7. I have killed all associated programs in Safe Mode, did a folder and registry clean out of all associated files, ran Windows Defender, SpyBot, MalwareBytes and avast , and rebooted. It still pops up. I searched for some more advice and tweaked and repeated the previous steps, and it still pops up.This morning I found a Norton Symantec link on the desktop. I found a Norton Security Scan folder in Program Files, added yesterday at 5pm. I obviously did not add these items. I am wondering if this issue is not Antivirus 7, but another rogue malware. After all, there are no traces of this program or program files on the computer to my extensive knowledge.Can anyone give me some further information? Has anyone had a similar issue?
Malware, Help me please!?
After I downloaded something I have been having problems where a blue screen pops up and shuts down the computer.I scanned with Malwarebytes, SUPERANTISPYWARE, and Windows defender. It supposively got rid of stuff but the problem is still there.
