How to recover data from a hard disk that is not detected during bios?
My hard disk crashed and is not detected during bios. I tried to repair using vista, also took it out and refitted it several times, but it simply doesn't work. Now i've replaced it, but there are some important photos in it I want to recover. Will connecting the crashed disk with an external case help? Or is paying the local techie the only solution? I already spent so much for the new hard disk, I dont want to spend more unless there's no other way. Somebody help please. Thanking in advance.

I have installed ubuntu in my hard disk E:/ drive after i was install windows xp to my c:/ drive?
before i have ubuntu only in my E drive. after i dried to install windows xp to my c drive but i couldn't install it completely because xp cd was damage one. now i can't log in to ubuntu it's only given windows xp setup screen .i don't want windows xp. how can i get my old ubuntu.i know my E drive have my ubuntu system but i can't load it .because it's when i power on my machine it's give only windows xp screen but still ubuntu in my E drive .plese help me how can i load old ubuntu .my ubuntu file system is ext4 file system.

2 month old SATA hard disk failing?
Hello i brought a brand new computer it was running fine without any issue but somethings came up today i tried to clean up my computer by blowing the dust out and i pull off the IDE cable cause i dont need it anyway now when i try to power On my computer it sudden stop and showing some error like " Error reading disk press ctrl alt del to restart" i check the bios but the hard disk on SATA2 location was present as will as my hard disk name i tried reformatting reinstalling OS using USB method as usual and the problem is after the Windows 7 loads it freezes it seems like it didn't take me to desktop..anyone knows whats going on here?never mind the hard disk is now dead

CAN XP BE INSTALLED WITHOUT A HARD DISK DRIVE?

Regarding computer memory (Hard disk space)?
For last night my hard disk space is continuously reducing...It reduces from 340GB to 298GB. I have turn off internet, deleted browsing data and now i am running disk de fragmentation...which have took more than 4hr, but not yet finished. I am using HP laptop with Vista operating system. I kindly request you to reply me as early as possible.I am very sorry for incomplete information. My hard disk size is 500GB, I have used 160GB.. so the available size is 340GB which is now reduce to 297GB automatically.Thanks for your replay.. I have found another problem. Basicly my hard disk is divided in to C and D drive. D drive is recovery drive. So my C drive is of 454 GB. I have added size of all folders including hidden folder of C drive. The sum is 130GB. Means 454 130 324GB free space. But when I check properties of C drive it shows 293GB and this number is falling down continuously but still the size of all folders in C drive remains same.
