I need to browse internet normally without my employer knowing and overcome firewall without disable it.?
my employer applying firewall and i need to browse internet normally and open my yahoo without disable firewall and he to knowif i put the sites i need in the exceptions category can it work? iam not expert in internet solutions so i need simple act also for other guys comment i use internet to find another job because iam working in a desert in sucks job and cheap employer and ihave lot of free time and nothing to do
Computer keeps telling me my firewall is off. I turn it on. Later it goes off again.?
I have ESET NOD32, and Microsoftplus, ESET keeps telling me that it needs to update. I update, and then latter it tells me that I need to update again TO THE SAME VERSION. Argggh What's going on? Do I need to worry? Any way to fix it? I have gone to the security center and tried to fix it there permanently, but no go.

My Computer was recently infected with a virus that infected my virus software AVG Free and was trying to sell me " Antisoft" virus protection. I updated the computer and the AVG Free and when i did a scan it found two Trojan horses on my computer. I put them in the virus vault, they were removed and when i was done i shut down my computer. When i turned it on yesterday, i opened itunes and a popup came up telling me it couldn't connect to the itunes store. I opened firefox, and the internet was working fine. Then today when I tried to upload an image to photobucket, it said " Upload failed with error A network error caused your upload to fail. Please try your upload again." so i tried to upload by sending the images as an attachment from gmail, but it said, " Attachment failed. This may be due to a proxy or firewall." i have tried flushing dns, and checked the exceptions in windows firewall. iTunes was still an exception, but what is the exception for uploading files? Help

Over the week i live in hostel away from home. The problem is that this hostel has really bad internet policy. Absolutely everything except http https and stmp is blocked. They introduced this because kids were downloading torrents and the speed became increasingly low. Their solution was to block everything, not just torrents There are many problems with this you can't play games over the internet, you can't use certain websites, some messaging protocols are blocked and you cant even update the system over rsync if your distro supports that. But the biggest frustration for me is that i cant use irc. This is really a big problem. I've tried different solutions to this problem such as proxies and webclients like mibbit . Whats wrong with them? Well many things. The biggest problem i have with proxies is that almost no proxy works most of them are logged in online databases drone db... and irc server refuses connection. No idea whats point of this, whats wrong if people want to connect to irc behind firewall protect their privacy?Webclients like mibbit arent really comfortable. I wish i could use irssi or xchat. Mibbit was fine for a few months but i got annoyed with it. Now im lost. I have no idea what to do. I've heard about ssh tunneling, http tunneling and other stuff same concept as proxies , but i dont have my own server to use this. Now, my question is, is there any way to connect to irc without web interface or proxies? Or, if there isnt, where could i get a proxy that isnt blocked?
