You have to disable restore to empty the cache. Unfortunately it's an all or nothing proposition. Then turn it back on again. click on My Computer >System Restore tab Place a check in the box for, Turn off System Restore. Click Apply. Reboot then reverse the process to turn it back on. Head what L S said. If you realy want to do it Use the Command Prompt To access the D: drive, then delete anything you want! d;o) |

Buy a computer with a bigger memory or delete a lot of stored files on it - particularly larger ones. |

That's a little confusing - do you mean D is a recovery partition? If so, you shouldn't be trying to do anything with it because if your computer needs reinstalling, that's where the files are kept. You should only delete the partition if you have a set of disks that can take the place of the recovery partition. EDIT: I've just been looking at the question again and I can come up with two possible interpretations and they may not be the only ones - you need to rephrase that and/ or use separate sentences with punctuation. Then we'll have a better chance of helping you. |

Hi, the recovery disk d is only used to restore your computer it is not meant to have any free space to write to has it is intended to be a read only disk so that you can recover your pc in an emergency, messing with can only cause more harm than good. |
