How to archive old email I want to keep? My inbox is ridiculous.?
I use Eudora and I have email in my inbox dating back to 2000. I DO have a lot of folders that I use to file things, as well, but obviously I have a lot of work to do yet. When the program is open, it takes up a large portion of available memory due to all the messages there, and slows down my computer quite a bit. I try to delete some old stuff everyday, and there's plenty more I can get rid of, but there are a lot of old messages I want to keep...genealogy related email, stuff from my parents, etc. I don't want to print out a bunch of stuff...I'm all for going paperless.Surely I'm not the only person who has this problem. What do other people do? Are there other programs that facilitate archiving old messages? I envisioned something that could store the text of old messages in a separate file that isn't opened unless you clicked on the subject line, rather than storing everything in one huge 47 meg file that is always open when the program is running.Help ?If the person who gave everyone " thumbs down" would care to share what they think, I'd like to hear it.Sorry guys, it wasn't me I appreciate everyone's help.
